A lot of gamers idealize game worlds. “This game world is much better than life, which is not fair.”
Here is my response:
Real life is fair – success just doesn’t correspond to the skills most people are taught in school. Good students don’t get ahead because life has nothing to do with who is the better student. It’s mostly about who has more influence over people, which is not taught in schools.
In other words, school is about disempowering large masses of people so that those who created the schools “win” at the game of life.
Translation: People who wish that real life was like a videogame so they could push 6 buttons and “pwn” it are going to be waiting a long time for that fantasy to come true.
Life is much more fair than most people give it credit for. YES – the government, backed by armed hooligans, will throw you in prison if you don’t pay them 35% of what you make.
Besides that, we have a free market economy that anybody can participate in.
Most people will never take an active role in that economy because 12-16 years of brutal public education turned them into subservient wage slaves.
At the end of The 5 Things Rich People Don’t Want You To Know I promise to teach you how to make money online.
I realized, after I finished writing that Ebook, that I needed to pick up a few more skills to fulfill my promise.
I’ve been working day and night to build an all-inclusive marketing solution for anybody who wants to make money online as an Internet marketer.
In the system, I show you (step by step) how to build a professional looking web page, fill it with killer content, and drive lots of laser-targeted traffic to your site.
Best of all- it’s going to be 100% FREE.
I will announce the URL for the new website on this blog and via email subscriptions when it’s ready for launch.
Make sure you opt-in to the form on the right so you DON’T MISS OUT on the chance to go through the BEST free make-money-online course there is.
Where SchoolOfPower Is Headed
I’m changing SchoolOfPower to be dedicated completely to the topic of personal development.
I’ll be talking about a general framework for success that I didn’t completely comprehend until I started having some recent “breakthroughs” in my Internet Marketing career.
I’m going to (eventually) distill what I’ve learned into a life-success system designed to help people achieve their own breakthroughs in life and make radical changes – from losing weight, to getting in shape, to changing careers, to improving your relationships.
The personal development stuff is a long way off.
Right now, I’m 100% lazer-focused on creating my “make money online” system, which will be complete some time in October 2010.
Someone figured out that selling teenage angst was more profitable than flipping burgers.
I live two blocks away from the “swanky” bar in town. Every Friday and Saturday night they have live music. Last night, I could tell that they *finally* had a decent band going, so I went over to check them out.
It felt like every song they played was taken from the typical classic rock radio station playlist. The song that really got me thinking was Sweet Home Alabama.
Sweet Home Alabama was written in 1974, which makes it over 36 years old. When the guitar player plays those first few notes (doot doot doo doo….), the audience instantly begins to cheer and women past their expiration date burst into dance. Click here to read more >>>
In the time I’ve spent working online, I’ve found that there are two major “types” of information:
Information given away for free
Information that is sold
The information that I’ve paid money for has generally been worth it. I’m a very “picky” buyer of information, and I’ve only paid for things that the seller could clearly demonstrate the value of.
“Free” is really a misnomer, because there’s almost always a hidden cost of free. If you’re getting something for free, it’s probably got some kind of flaw in it (i.e. you will get a low return-on-investment), because the individual would be selling it if there was sufficient economic demand.
(The main exception to this rule is the site I’m launching soon about how to build your own professional blog rapidly and cheaply – a $300 course for FREE – yes, I am insane).
Access to cheap and/or free pornography drove the popularity of the Internet. Access to free music was a by-product of this Revolution.
But this presents a problem for the businessmen who make a living off of the distribution of music, porn, and other media.
The solution, which has been around since the dawn of the Internet, is to become the distributor of your own content.
If you’ve got naked images of yourself, music, writing or art you would like to distribute to make a living on, your best best is to “do it yourself” (like Plates of Cake above) using a Wordpress website like SchoolOfPower.
This television episode will probably be nominated for various awards. I agree with the commenters: This episode alone justifies buying the DVD box set.
The text is much easier to read and is much more skimmable.
Table of contents.
Pictures.
The narrative is more focused on ethical and powerful Internet marketing – I took the “life purpose” stuff out of it.
There will be a followup video that shows you how to build your first website and make your first dollar in a matter of minutes (to show that Internet Marketing isn’t as hard as you think.)
Anyway, grab your FREE copy over there —> and let me know what you think (update was emailed last night to people who already subscribed).
In this video, Stefan Molyneax teaches us the truth about failure. If you’re thinking of starting a business, he spent a long time developing a software company and came up with a framework to deal the fear of failure. Here’s the video:
Procrastination – having difficulty getting things done.
Marital and family problems – arguments over washing the dishes and taking out the garbage.
Motivation or Mood problems – having difficulty culminating a burning desire to get things done.
Problems at Work – you feel like you’re going to be let go from your job because you’re not getting along with your superiors
Why This Video Is So Important
We often fail to understand the way we’re being influenced by others – we react to emotionally-charged situations rather than rationally and calmly taking the best course of action. The moment we begin deconstructing our social relationships and see them for what they are (which is essentially pointless power struggles), we can then be free of them.
You may have noticed I’ve made some graphical changes. I may have gone a little overboard on the green, yellow, and red, but the entire point of building a website like this is to get people to opt-in to your email list so you can recommend things they might find useful.
Like a said in this post, I’m building this business unconventionally. My main strategy right now is to set things up so people look at what I’m doing and want to be able to emulate that style for themselves. The problem is, I’m not sure if people like this new style I’ve developed.
Anyway, your feedback is greatly appreciated.
P.S. I’m just about ready to start sending out information via email to help people get started on their own website, but I don’t want to go crazy until I’ve got a solid direction with this graphical stuff.
I’m doing a revision of the book that should be out soon, and then we can get down to the business of making money online.
